Five Reasons to Oppose the Death Penalty

  1. The death penalty is racist.
  2. The death penalty punishes the poor.
  3. The death penalty condemns the innocent to die.
  4. The death penalty is not a deterrent to violent crime.
  5. The death penalty is "cruel and unusual punishment."

The United States is the only country in the Western industrialized world that still uses the death penalty. Since 1990, 30 countries have abolished the death penalty. Among the 74 countries who continue to execute, a tiny group accounts for the vast majority of the world’s executions each year— China, Iran, Vietnam and the United States.

Note by me: I believe that we as a country and people of this country WHOM CARE FOR THIS COUNTRY should acknowledgment such things even if it burst the fragment of a reality we live/lived in. How progress and great are we when we still dispose of like lamb to a slaughter house (sorry to be cliche). When do we people of this great nation stop boasting about our smarts, arts, courage, work, and uniqueness when we forget the brother form our other mother. Saving lifes and creating a better tomorrow is sometimes done on a very small level like this. How will you change the world for a better tomorrow?

A Multimedia of the Apocalypse of War

Mauricio Lima a photographer of Time bring us into the life of the Afghan people and the soldiers from both homes. He says that his editors asked him to become apart of the life there. We see where his heart takes him.

I watched this to find my heart compounded and confounded by an entire sequence of emotions. Enjoy this wonderful, well-made, and well presented slide. War might be inevitable because of how we choose to have discourse, but at the end of the day human life prevails.

Note: This isn't a political posting I just though, and I quote, "human feelings are much more intresting than any military arsenals."Edit Posts

Whose Hungry!

OK so a while ago I told you that I would be giving you lessons on making some Caribbean Latin food. Yes I know that because rrrrice is a big thing for us I will teeeeach you how to make rrrice, beans, and
 carne (meat, or 肉).
Everything that I am telling you hear should be followed to the T. In my point of you you must be careful with leaving something out or changing the ingredients with our meals because once you do you change the entire flavor of what you are making. You can definitely try new things but be careful.

Here are the things you will need:

Grater
Aluminum pan
Pot
Big Pot or Rice cooker
(2 cups) long-grain white rice (short is fine too)
(2 containers) Vienna Sausage
Adobo
Sazon con culantro y achiote
Sofrito
(1 small can) Tomato paste
(1 teaspoon each) minced garlic - can be powdered and peppers
(1) Platano
(1 can) of Red Kidney Beans
(12 pkg) Chicken Wings
(1 cups) Vinegar + (1 cup) Water = mixed

Pre-preparation: take the two platano peel them. now grab the grater and with the finest section of it grade the platano. You will end up with what looks like mush. grab little small chunk and in your hands make it into a round ball. Save this for the beans.

Cook:

First wash the chicken with vinegar/water mix and then drain. Add 1 spoon of sofrito, three spoons of adobo, pepper and minced garlic (what ever is left save it.), and a dash of sazon. Mix together and put it in a oven already preheated at 350 degrees. (this will take about 30 minutes to 35 to make. Just pay attention to it and make sound judgments. I don't cook by time i just cook).

In a pot fill it to the half with water and add a spoon of sofrito, two tablespoons of adobo, a package of sazon, and the tomato paste, and let it warm up. once it starts to bubble through in a can of red kidney beas juice and all. mix it and taste it to see if a little extra seasoning is needed. Now add the balls of platano. Let that make for about 20 minutes until it is semi thick.

Now in the big pan or rice cooker take two cups of long grain rice and add another spoon of sofrito, one package of sazon, two tablespoons of adobo, the vienna sausage (chopped), and about a teaspoon of the left over minced garlic (if you have/ you can sub. with garlic powder). Now add 1 cup of water and mix.

Let the water from the rice evaporate. Grab a regular size plastic bag, wet it, squeeze (so that it is moist but not soaking) , and cover the rice with it. Now cover it for twenty minutes.

Great your meal is ready to serve! Enjoy!

Vouge Down!

Within the sphere of of dance hall revolution lives a movement called vouging. Vouging, which was formed in the eighties in New York by the urban community who used it as a form to express art and who was the top house in the district, is today a vibrant living way of expression in all urban/underground gay communities around the States. Just about everyone from my gay family and friends vouge. These people have perfected or are learning the art to the point where they are contributing to moves and contributing to the development of the style.

Pony of the House of Garcon has been the biggest contributor to the movement. He is the founder of Vouge Revolution and is respected by all for his elegance, flow, and technique in the dance. If you have ever watched Americas Best Dance Group has gotten a glimpse of Pony group (Vouge Revolution). The art is not at all easy to learn and it corresponds all to timing and beats, but more than that it is about refinement, structure, and performance all around.

Vouging comes in different forms of masculine and feminine. The masculine has more defined, stiff structured movements, like time. The feminine has a more fluid movement, like water, and is all about how cunty you can be. Currently from what I know Dance Revolution focuses on the cunty aspect of vouge, but you'll just have to keep up with me to find out more.

I have posted to this page to links/videos to my friends vouging at the club. Enjoy, experience, and welcome to a world unknown to you. If you think its easy to learn, think again.

What Makes The World Progressive

Yesterday afternoon at 1pm I attended the 2011 graduation of the students from Greater Egleston Community High School.  My friend Allain was one of the gradutes and is the main reason I went there.  If you are thinking that I went to the graduation on the sole pupose to find some dates to pay for my lunches for the month, then know that you are right. I have school loans you know.

Going forward, I felt that it was important for me to post this graduation up because fourteen students who graduated seven of them wound up shedding tears as they told there story of pain, anguish, and the fulfillment they felt because of their current success.  One girl is here alone while her family and children at back home in the Caribbean.  While a different girl directed her entire time to her parents who are in America as immigrants and fight hard with her.  Another person shared with us that he had been kicked out of three schools.  And another individual reminded everyone that the game isn't over.  One person couldn't continue speaking after they introduced them selves.

My friend Allain, who is a gay youth, was apart of a charter school with a tough curriculum called City on a Hill.  Allain started to have family troubles because of his sexual orientation, and in the process started failing his classes.  For the graduation the people who should up were his gay family, and friends (me).  ::Allian is the Grad who is in the photos with the guy wearing a grin and a lime green dress shirt. they are currently dating::

I felt compelled to share this with you because they matter. they matter to me and many other people. Do you remember a time when you felt like an uncomprehensibly loneliness, and there was almost no one around who supported you? They did.  I was reminded once again about why I am an activist and volunteer and why I have to report what goes unreported in today's media.

I leave you with this: if you are a volunteer or teacher in Boston and are trying to find out where to work next, then consider working for Greater Egleston Community High School.  The staff is caring, the classes, small, the inspiration high, and the need for caring people is never ending.  We are all looking for hope to a better tomorrow; a reassurance.

By the way, I want you to remember that dropping out of school or anything doesn't make you a failure.  Always remember this, "A person is built whole from the pieces that they once where."  Enjoy the photos.

I Have Brown Fur And Understand Some Japanese

I just realize my fur is brown!?

私の代わりに茶色のウサギコール : Watashi no kawari ni chairo no usagikōru: Call me Brown Rabbit instead: En vez, llamame un conejo marrón!

I just realize I'm brown.  I just thought I was wearing a shirt that my parents put on me ever since I was born! weird. ...  Anyway, as I, hopefully, mentioned before I am trying to learn Japanese and that's why you see Japanese writing on here.
Now I know that I seem like I'm running around with my head cut off, and I am but, this new blog on Blogger will be a blog where I post cooking recipes, art by the LBGT community, comedy clips made by me, friends, and whomever decides to participate.

I'll admit for a second that in order to generate viewers i thought, "oh maybe I shouldn't broadcast that I am gay (something that is like telling me not to laugh).  But, then I ran onto a blog on tumblr: http://moonlitstreets.tumblr.com/post/4455365010 , and I remembered the essence of this entirety.  IT IS TO HAVE FUN AND OPEN A WHOLE WORLD OF CULTURES TO ONE ANOTHER ::said in an Oprah tone of voice::  ^_^

OKAY! Now go get your little paws on a drink and go visit my blog on Tumblr and keep up with my Tweeters. On Tweeter you can find out about events, recipes, restaurants, and festivals happening around Boston.
Also don't o not forget to follow me because if not I will find a way to crawl into your house, once I find out where you live! Then I will watch you as you sleep.

Later people!

Don't forget to leave your comment and or ideas for this blog. Later chilindrins (small people in my language)

The Stuart Street Party

This weekend I worked at Pride passing out condoms because sex should not only be fun but healthy too. At the parade I got to experience the Stuart Street Block party and the dope a$$ DJ that perform there. Man Was it fun!

The party full of people from all around and represented diversity to its full extent. I had such a great interacting with everyone and taking pictures while working. If you are ever in Boston during Gay pride make sure to go and check it out. Unlike most cities the Pride in Boston is pretty conservative so if you want to go out but not be a part of the crazy scenes that can sometimes take place at parties then Stuart Street Block Party is one to check out. So much love is there.
